In June 2011 the 3rd ELEN Annual Meeting was held in Turin with the participation of representatives of the associated offices: Bufete Conesa Asociados, D & RH Avocats, Studio Avvocato Carena, Valdemar Gonçalves & amp; Associados. José Saad de Saad Advocacia also participated as a guest, with an office in Brazil.
The outgoing lawyer Jean Jacques Duflos transferred the office to Avv. Vincenzo Maria Carena, new president of ELEN for the period 2011-2012, which received the participants with an inaugural speech at “Il Circolo” of the Industrial Union of Turin.
The first issue addressed by the Assembly was the appointment of the new president of ELEN for the period 2012-2013, which fell on the lawyer Valdemar Gonçalves with a firm in Porto in Portugal.
Subsequently, we moved on to the report on employment relationships established during the year between the various studies. Subsequently, the phases of professional exchange and internships of the professionals of the various offices were specified.
After receiving the request to join the network as a collaborating member from the guest Saad Advocacia, the vote was agreed for the next assembly in Porto, when the incorporation of the office of the lawyer Wolfgang Wodok in Monaco will also be evaluated. Contacts maintained for the incorporation into ELEN from the countries of Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Poland and Switzerland were reported.
Bufete Conesa Asociados, presented the book “Being an entrepreneur in Spain”, a practical guide for those who want to settle in that country. It will be published in Spanish, English, French, Italian, German and Portuguese.
Subsequently, lawyer Wolfgang Wodok, with a studio in Munich, intervened as a guest speaker and presented the different types of employment contracts in Germany. The lawyer Anna Gibello of Loyens Loeff Advocaten of Brussels provided a written presentation on the non-competition agreements and their treatment in Belgian law.
After the official events, the participants and their carers developed the planned leisure program, which included a visit to the gardens of the Reggia di Venaria Reale in Turin, and the “La Bella Italia” art exhibition commemorating 150 years of the unification of Italy and which exposes the culture, history and art of different cities before unification.
